John D. Randall papers, 1940-1990.

Newspaper clippings, photographs, handwritten notes, correspondence, and other research files of John Randall, who worked to document and preserve Chicago architecture. The collection also includes reports about buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Dankmar Adler, and Louis Sullivan and photographs (1940) of Frank Lloyd Wright. Most correspondence (1961-1972) is between John Randall and fellow preservationist, Richard Nickel. Files are arranged in 3 series: 1. General, 2. Sullivan, 3. Wright. Separate materials in the 4 binders relate to topics found throughout the files.
